Review: Would Like To Meet by Rachel Winters

Review: Would Like To Meet by Rachel Winters

I have been 'reading' this book for well over a year. I spent most of that time picking up the book every now and then and reading for a few minutes. The book was about 40% of the way done when I picked it up today and just forced myself to read it as rapidly as possible so I could finish it.

I didn't really like anyone; I wasn't that interested in the story, I didn't like the writing style. I cared so little about this I don't even want to write why I didn't like it.

I thought the work conflict was incredibly predictable; as soon as he isn't writing his own screenplay, it is apparent he is going to steal hers. I cannot think of a time I have read this plot in a way that seemed to approach believable at all; all it truly does is make you doubt the main character as any ability to discern any information ever. Also, she was emailing it to him; that is a very, very easy case to prove theft, so I wasn't that concerned. I also found the resolution to this so dry; I wasn't even that happy for her by the end because I was disinterested.

This is a very cut and dry case of me needing to just learn to DNF books. I knew this wasn't for me right in the beginning; I should have stuck with that impulse.

My last statement, this was a romance where I cared not at all if the pair ended up together. I do not understand why this man let this woman around his daughter; the pair did not have anywhere near enough page time together; I am still confused as to why they like each other.

Next, I am going to read a string of books I think are going to be slam dunks.

I received this ARC from NetGalley.
