FIrst: Sorry for the mess. Second: I am lazy and behind so I am just posting a run-down. Don’t judge me.
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick. 4 Stars. Solid, will totally read more from her.
Serenity: Those Left Behind by Joss Whedon. 5 stars. Still my fangirl heart.
Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi. 4 stars. Solid sequel, didn’t love it as much as the first book but I liked it!
Unite Me by Tahereh Mafi. 4 stars. Unpopular opinion alert! I liked Fracture Me way more than I liked Destroy Me. Reading Destroy Me was like pulling teeth. I liked Warner more than Adam though, the Adam story was just better.
Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi. 4 stars. I wanted to like this book more. The ending just lacked too much for me to justify 5 stars.
If I Stay by Gayle Forman. 5 stars. Crying.
The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket. 4 stars. This was obivously a reread but it was so long ago I am counting it. I see why I liked it as a kid, but I am not sure I can reread all f them.
Serenity: Better Days and Other Stories by Joss Whedon and Co. 5 stars, by far my favorite Firefly related non-show thing.
Serenity: The Shepherd’s Tale by Joss Whedon and Co. 4 stars, if it hadn’t been a Serenity thing it would have been 3. It was not as good as the other two have been.
Where She Went by Gayle Forman. 5 stars. Lots of tears.
American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang. 5 stars. Loved this. At first I thought it was going to be 3 stars (like ¼ into it) but it was so amazing. I think I cried but I don’t remember, i 100% laughed out loud in public.
Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. 5 stars (this is the kind of book I need a 6th star for). I laughed so much. Also thought about life. And then laughed.
The Iron Trial by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare. 4 stars. I see where the ‘too much like Harry Potter’ critique comes from, but I think the series is going in a very different direction. But I did see it.
Sparks Rise by Alexandra Bracken. 5 stars. Oh my god. This woman can write a novella. She is the Novella Goddess. This was a work of art. Not pictured because it is only available as an ebook. Read this. Also read her other ebooks. And the series it goes with.
Marbles: Mania, Depression, Michelangelo, and Me by Ellen Forney. 5 stars. I have read so many amazing graphic novels I think it might be unfair to the ones I read in the future. I thought this was an amazing autobiographical graphic novel. I was laughing and crying and worried for her, and happy for her. It was great. Not pictured because someone gave it to me then un-gave it to me. Which was fine with me. But now I will be buying one soon.
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han. 4 stars. It was fluffy and touched serious things often. I liked it. I liked Belly. She was a tad odd but I liked her.Not pictured because it was read as an ebook (on oyster if that changes anything for you).
It’s Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han. 4 stars. I liked it less than the first one but it was still good. I think the dating brothers thing is odd. Like why is everyone just chill with that. And why is everyone so bad at communication. They would have way less problems if they just opened their mouths. Not pictured because it was read as an ebook (on oyster if that changes anything for you).
The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan. 5 stars. I might be incapable of giving anything but 5 stars to a Rick Riordan book. I really did like this. I wanted the battle to be longer and I would have liked at least one major sad thing to happen but I still loved it. The Nico feels were awesome. I kinda missed Percy but he got 5 whole books, I didn't mind letting others shine.
The Young Elites by Marie Lu. 5 stars. If I didn’t love the ending so much it would have been a 4 star book. I am so excited to see the way this ends.
The Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller. 4 stars. This was awesome, I just got bored a little bit. I would love to see this performed. ALL THE SYMBOLISM! Not pictured because it was read as an ebook. Also it was for class.
Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan. 5 stars. I felt this book was written so I could read it. It was magnificent. I loved it. And it glows in the dark. Thats fucking cool.
I should rate more harshly in the future. Seeing all the ratings together I feel some have been jipped and some have been given too much leniency. Also the picture and the list are in reverse order. Oops.
