I’m reading To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

And does Jenny Han ever get over the good girl being shown to be morally superior by contrasting her to bad girl friend or rivalry for a boy? I’ve just started but I’m bummed that my second least favorite thing from the Summer series (I read 2.25 of the 3)

And now the main character has a past crush on her sisters past boyfriend. Hopefully this isn’t a big thing in the book. The siblings dating the same person thing was my least favorite thing about the Summer books.

I’m farther in now and I think that Lara Jean is going to have a character arc that involves her being less judgy. Which would be a good arc.

The voice is a little younger than I am used to but I do think I’m enjoying it. And as the kind of girl who sat at home in high school was in some ways was very Lara Jean I think maybe I’m expecting to much perfection out of my female protagonist. Maybe. I can be critical of some aspects and still enjoy it. And the book can correct me if my assumptions were wrong at first.
