This is a weird one to rate for me. Mostly because I finished Hollow City in January of 2014. So this series was not super fresh in my mind.
That being said I still found the characters interesting and wanted to know how the plot was going to resolve itself. I got genuinely nervous about the fate of the characters (especially the ā€œnormalā€ bit at the end) and this was the only book that managed to scare me at all.
This did get me pretty excited for Map of Days. I know a lot of people donā€™t love that authors are continuing ā€œfinishedā€ series or adding books to worlds whose first series closed. But if you created a whole separate reality and you are the author and still find that world interesting then I am probably going to be interested too.
Again, the characters in this book are so well written. And I love a YA where the teens say ā€œoh shit I really need an adult todayā€. Thatā€™s refreshing.

I gave this book 4 stars on Goodreads and finished it on July 11th, 2018.
