Truthwitch by Susan Dennard
I can’t even formulate my thoughts.
This book had all the things I love. It had a strong female friendship that kicked ass. It had flawed characters. It has character growth. It had a pretty great romance. It had betrayal. It has a prophecy, but not one that is immediately believed. And I loved it.
My mind literally feels like it is buzzing. And I need book two. Amazon shall deliver it to me soon and I might get the audiobook for the meantime. I love this book.
It started a little slow (not the heist gone wrong on the first few pages but after that) because Dennard had thrown you into a world and you kind of feel like you are scrambling for information. But about 50 pages in it mostly clicks and all the information just fits and then I was sucked in. And this kind of fantasy requires you to gather information on the world quickly, and Dennard made a puzzle I so loved to put together.
Safi and Iseult are the best. (I love the names in this book. Iseult is the coolest name). They love each other despite their flaws. Mostly Safi’s flaws. Girl is impulsive.
And the plot. I was constantly guessing what was about to happen. I am so curious.
I have been reading so many great books this year. I pick books out very well. Go me.
I gave this book 5 stars on Goodreads and read it on February 22th, 2018. It is July so I am clearly behind.
